A Collection of Young Adults
We are a collection of 20-and-30 somethings from various churches in South Jersey who gather regularly to study the Word and spread the Gospel. There are various definitions of what a “young adult” is today. Here’s what we believe.
A young adult is an individual who is new to this whole “adulting” thing – whether just graduating high school and entering college, or newly married with a kid (or two!). Generally, our age range is freshman in college through mid-30s. We also have separate groups devoted to different life stages.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to providing young adults a spiritual place to call “home” in order to advance the kingdom and offer mutual encouragement. We do this through special events, small groups, worship nights, and service opportunities.
We know this season of life can be filled with many challenges and uncertainties. Young adults often express feeling alone and without a place in the church at large. We hope this group will be a beacon of light for those struggling to navigate this new season of adulthood, and bring awareness to local churches of the specific needs of this age demographic.
What We Believe
We hold to a Christian Biblical worldview, containing key foundational truths such as the infallibility of Scripture, the Trinity, and salvation through faith alone in Christ’s death and resurrection.
We look to our local pastors for accountability in following God’s truth over the pervasive lies in our culture.
Ministry Representatives
We started a local coffeehouse ministry for young adults which grew to include a wide array of churches and events that continue to this day under the name of “South Jersey Young Adults.”
I went on to meet my husband Jonathan through this group, and now we are blessed to minister to 20 and 30-somethings together!
